Tom Russell, MA, LPCC-STom is Founder and President of Heritage Christian Counseling Ministries. After teaching school for eleven years, he began counseling in 1996. He specializes in the areas of marriage, parenting, depression, anxiety, and self-concept.
Tom has an Education degree from Ohio State, a Masters of Education from Ashland University, and a Masters in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Seminary. He has been married to Kathy (Thomas) since 1975, and they have four children and eight grandchildren. |
Leah Smith, MA, LPCLeah received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Harding University and received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Ashland Theological Seminary. Leah has been married to Tyler, Youth Minister at Church of Christ in Ashland, since 2009 and they have 3 children.
Leah specializes in working with adolescents with low self-esteem concerns as well as depression and anxiety. Leah also specializes in working with the Plain Community and has had experience treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and trauma. |
Kailey Bradley-Thomas, MA, LPCCKailey earned her Bachelors of Arts from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and finished her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Ashland Theological Seminary. Kailey has a background in hospice work and feels that companioning and advocating for grievers is her life’s passion.
Kailey specializes in working with individuals of all ages, with special interest and care given to children’s bereavement, complicated grief, perinatal loss, and chronic illness. Kailey has completed training at the center for loss and life transition and is currently working towards becoming a licensed thanatologist. |
Stephen Thomas, MA, LPCCStephen earned his Bachelors of Arts from Malone University in Liberal Arts and finished his Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Ashland Theological Seminary. Stephen has a background in ministry, working for a number of churches in a ministerial role before becoming a Clinical Counselor.
Stephen specializes in working with adolescents, college students, and adults of all ages. He has experience in the areas of grief, trauma, anxiety, and depression. |
Scout, GoldendoodleScout is Heritage's emotional support dog. Though Scout is not a licensed therapist herself, she is excellent at working with people of all ages. She's also an excellent cuddle buddy once she settles down from the excitement of meeting someone new. Scout is a hypoallergenic dog.
