About Us

Heritage Christian Counseling Ministries (HCCM) is a group of State Licensed Clinical Counselors (LPC, LPCC) and Licensed Social Workers (LSW, LISW) who work in tandem with clinical learning and spiritual disciplines to instill hope to those struggling through challenging life experiences. 

Heritage is proud to have been part of the Mansfield community for over 18 years. We are now excited to be a part of the Ashland community!

What is Counseling? 

​According to the American Counseling Association (ACA), “Counseling is a collaborative effort between the counselor and client. Professional counselors help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil; seek to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health.”

Interviews

• Tom Russell (LPCC-S) can be heard every Thursday and Saturday morning at 8:00 on WVMC (90.7 FM), discussing important family issues
